R.A.M. HCG is seeking 2 Full-time, Experienced Trauma Registrar to assist our clients.
Trauma Registrar: Responsibilities include trauma registry management, including but not limited to Case finding, data input, data analysis, and reporting. It also involves the support of the Trauma Program Manager, Trauma Medical Director, and possibly other trauma agencies/departments as required. This position is held accountable by the standards of the California State Department of Health Trauma and EMS Division.
- Ensures state trauma registry compliance.
- Responsible for compiling statistics, preparing reports, generating reports on trauma populations, updating internal audits, and performing data searches for trauma-related research projects.
- Maintains patient confidentiality, including confidentiality of sensitive hospital performance improvement information.
- Assists in data collection, preparation, analysis, and entry into Trauma Registry for Trauma Program Manager.
Required:
- Cerner experience
- Experience with ESO (Preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of CA registry codes (we are a level II adult trauma) Trauma Registry California State Department of Health
- Ability to validate data in Registry.
- ICD10 experience
- Basic anatomy and medical terminology courses or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of Trauma Registry class or equivalent
- Two years of experience as a trauma Registrar.
- Experience in retrieving and presenting data in various reporting formats.
- Ability to spell correctly, use accepted grammar, and write legibly.
- Competency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

- Ability to attend meetings and navigate through virtual platforms as meetings dictate.
- Demonstrate ability to problem solve when challenges arise and communicate with the Trauma Program Manager in a timely manner.
- Ability to log off the computer at the end of the workday for security and accountability.
- Has reliable internet and workspace.
Has set schedule Mon-Sunday 40hr week Flexible
Preferred:
- Experience with reimbursement coding, injury severity coding, and injury scaling and data entry is strongly preferred.
- Certified Specialist Trauma Registrar (CSTR) – Preferred:
- Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS) – Preferred: (Required 1 of the Registrar)

1. AIS Course
2. Trauma Registry Course from ATS
3. ICD-10 course (Required Every 5 years)
4. CAISS Certified (1 Registrar will need to have Certification)
