REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Epic EHR, EMPI Identity Potential duplicate patient matching, reviewing patient demographic errors in the EHR.
• Monitors the systems for data quality, efficiency, operation, and data integrity and appropriately escalates issues as they arise.
• Identifies errors, omissions, and duplications in clinical charts and notifies the proper parties regarding corrections. • Assists in system analysis and developing and documenting new workflow processes and applications.
• Directs, implements and updates policies, procedures, and protocols to streamline workflow, improve efficiency, and strengthen quality assurance.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
ANALYTICAL SERVICES
• Performs chart correction process, identifies errors, and notifies downstream system owners of required corrections. • Performs analysis of assigned processes and systems to improve the data integrity of the patient’s chart
• Coordinates merges of medical records across systems and physical charts, ensuring complete accuracy and following all policies and procedures.
• Works closely with business and clinical operation teams to obtain or create workflow documentation of current applications.
CLERICAL
• Performs general clerical tasks, such as monitoring and updating tickets timely, analyzing or generating reports. SAFETY
• Participates in quality improvement processes when needed.
COMPLIANCE
• Maintains strictest confidence of all patient’s protected health information (PHI) and protects all PHI from accidental, intentional, or inappropriate disclosure.
• Performs job responsibilities in compliance with department standards, policies, and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to deliver the highest level of service
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
1 year of recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of patient privacy policies and legislation such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act).
• Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences and fellow team members.
• Time management and organizational skills, including prioritizing assignments and working within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Keen problem solving ability; comfortable performing in unforeseen scenarios and quickly changing from one task to another. • Effective analytical, problem, and issue-resolution experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Prioritize and delegate assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve department objectives and meet deadlines.
• Work autonomously and be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
SALARY RANGE: $28.00 TO $32.00 PER HOUR
