Clinical Documentation (CDI) Specialist – Remote

The Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist is responsible for managing, assessing, and reviewing a patient’s medical records to ensure that all the information documented reflects the patient’s severity of illness, clinical treatment, and the accuracy of documentation. Candidate for the CDI Specialist must have recent experience with 3M 360, Epic, and Microsoft Office Products specifically Excel. Experience in Academic medical center preferred. Acute Inpatient hospital setting experience required.

This is a 100% remote position. Full-time 40 hours per week, dayshift hours. Weekend coverage required. This is a 3 to 6 month contract position with possible extension.

Job Qualifications For Clinical Documentation Specialist:

  • Required – Active RN Licensure
  • Required – Current experience in Clinical Documentation
  • Required – Current experience with Epic, 3M 360, and Microsoft Office products specifically Excel
  • Required – Clinical Documentation Specialist Certification (CDIP or CCDS)
