A hospital client based in North Carolina has an opportunity for an Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient Coding Auditor with at least 5 years experience with auditing acute care medical records with two years of outpatient coding. The Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient Auditor will provide training and orientation to contract coding staff, monitor existing procedures and recommend changes, assist with coding functions and assist with the reviews for compliance.
Job Qualification
- Required – Minimum 5 years’ Acute Care Coding experience
- Required – Bachelors Degree in HIM or equivalent
- Required – RHIT/RHIA or equivalent work experience
- Preferred – CCS credential
- Required – Knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS Coding principles for IPPS, OPPS and APCs
